Tapes n' Tapes Announce 2006 Tour
As many of you know, we like Tapes n' Tapes. And at this point you should too. They might have been alittle hyped up after SXSW, but we think its warrented. They really just rock out. Listen to their album, The Loon. Buy it. I took the time to add it to the WDMO Listen to: so it must be epic.

-I'm gonna let you know this right now. The new Pearl Jam album is good. They finally sound like a cohesive unit again, the music doesn't sound 'unfinished', and Ed actually sings to the tune rather than on his own wavelength. I'm not saying the past stuff wasn't good, but this just sounds finished. Let the Pearl Jam onslaught begin. SNL on this Saturday.

NPR Live Concert Series
National Public Radio does a great job of staying on top of music that is relevant to what's going on now. They record a lot of the shows that are played in Washington DC at the 9:30 club and then put them up on their site. They recently have added:
Yeah Yeah Yeahs-April 3rd
Arctic Monkeys-March 27th
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah-March 8th
ENJOY.

Dirty Pretty Things
Carl Barat is busy prepping a album and tour with his new band, Dirty Pretty Things. Pete Doherty is busy with a total free fall from the top, before he even got there. With Pete looking like his drug habits will never clear up, its nice to see Barat can actually move on without the Libertines. Rolling Stone has articles this month on both Doherty and Barat.

Could It Be?

For the last few days there has been some speculation to wither no not this was the cover to Pearl Jam's new album, 'Pearl Jam'. After some investigation by the WDMO News Team, we found this, the album info on Amazon.com. So it looks like this the cover to album #8. I'm still not covinced that this isn't a joke.
Atleast it's not as bad as the cover to 'Stadium Arcadium', the new album due out May 9th from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. What the hell is going on here?

A friend of ours here at WDMO has recently started to sell prints of the photos she has taken. We have a few of them adding color to the office/studio/3700 club and now you can have them for yourself. Eventually they'll all be available online, but for now you can catch the occasional online auction.
