Thom Yorke Solo Album

There has been a lot of Radiohead news floating around lately. A sold out tour, new tracks played live, and now a solo album by Thom Yorke.

'The Eraser' is the solo album by Mr. Yorke that is slated for a July 2006 release. You can get more details in the coming weeks at the new site for the album. As is the norm for Thom and Radiohead, the site is weird/interesting. You can navigate the site by playing along with his little game. Its like staring at the sun, but I doubt it'll leave you blind. I think.

Eddie Vedder and The Strokes

Pearl Jam played Letterman yesterday and afterward they played a 10 song set for a full house of Ten Club members. The Strokes were there and Eddie thanked them after the show, so you begin to think something is up. It was. Eddie showed up @ Rolling Stone's 1,000 issue party and joined The Strokes onstage and sang Juicebox with Julian. Pretty cool.

Also Pearl Jam recorded a few songs for AOL Sessions. Not sure how to take Pearl Jam on the media tip, but its still some good footage from their studio in Seattle.

-I'm gonna let you know this right now. The new Pearl Jam album is good. They finally sound like a cohesive unit again, the music doesn't sound 'unfinished', and Ed actually sings to the tune rather than on his own wavelength. National Public Radio does a great job of staying on top of music that is relevant to what's going on now. They record a lot of the shows that are played in Washington DC at the 9:30 club and then put them up on their site. They recently have added:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs-April 3rd
Arctic Monkeys-March 27th
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah-March 8th

ENJOY.
