Low Flying Jets and The Parlor Mob

We got a chance to see these 2 bands a few months back and have been rockin' out ever since. The Parlor Mob and Low Flying Jets are both great rock bands from New Jersey, and are poised to make some waves in the national rock scene--VERY SOON.

Check out the shows they are playing together next week in NYC and Boston. If you like raw, 70's inspired rock with a modern twist, then you won't be dissapointed.

"When you’re not even halfway through your 20's, jump-starting a back-to-basics rock revolution seems a tall order. Judging by the rock ’n’ roll charisma radiated by the band members at their live shows — long-hair-tossing, instrument-abusing, generally reckless affairs — they are up to the task."
-The New York Times

"With dynamic live sets and slightly askew guitar-rock, it's no wonder the genre-breaking group from Red Bank, N.J., has earned the adulation of fans and critics alike. With experimental rock songs that add a fresh twist to the classic sounds of the 60s and 70s, the band that formed in early 2004 is set to lead a musical revolution that will capture audiences of all ages."

2007!

Hey Everybody, Happy 2007!

I know we said we'd list our favorite albums of 2006, but after all the lists out there it began to get pretty repetitive. You can still check out our recommended albums to the right, so i guess that does it.

If you haven't heard already, WDMO now is home to the Super Terrific Radio Hour hosted by Tom Doc. It runs Wends 4-6pm eastern, check it out! Its always a nice mix of classic and modern rock, rap, reggae, and anything else Doc can find in the archives. We also have the SOMA Rock Show running weekday afternoons [when we can get live talent in the studio]

Also- I mentioned that someone applied for WDMO.net and got it when we didn't renew it on time. We've re-grouped and now are back stronger than ever, like Voltron. Now we're at WDMOradio.com So update your bookmarks and tell a friend!

Check back often, we'll be updating the blog a lot more with music news and reviews. Also, we'll be doing bios on some of the local bands that we deal with. If you know of, or are part of, a band that's looking for exposure or airplay contact us on our WDMO Myspace or WDMO Email

Kings of Leon-Because of the Times

Looks like we're one step closer to a 3rd Kings of Leon studio album, and according to Jenny on Sirius' Left of Center, advance copies have been given out. So that means the album is recorded and on its way! She also called it 'Brilliant", but you can be the judge of that. March can't come soon enough.

Check out some live recordings of some of the new songs. [via O-Dusty]
